Reliance Jio is the only company in the country that offers unlimited free calling facility. During the launch of Reliance Jio in September 2016, Mukesh Ambani had conveyed that Jio's voice calling will be free forever. Other companies in the telecom sector give the limit of 300 minutes per day in the name of Unlimited Calling. However, this does not happen with Jio. But now it is being said that Reliance Jio is also going to reduce the Unlimited Calling limit to 300 minutes per day.
According to telecom news website telecomtalk.info, the Jio team has confirmed that the company will limit the Unlimited Calling to limit of 300 minutes per day, although this limit will not be applicable to all users. This will be for some select users.
A source from the company said that some users of Jio are misusing Unlimited Calling, which has come to the notice of the company. For example, some users are using the Jio Network for promotions. This way, they can be targeted at users who are using voice calling more than 10 hours a day. However, it has been said that the limit will be only per day. Like other companies, not 1200 minutes per week.
