Nokia 8 Will Receive Android 8 Oreo Update Soon, Confirmed By HMD's CPO Juho Sarvikas

Nokia 8, presented by the HMD Global, will receive Android 8.0 OTA update very soon. Yesterday, HMD's CPO Juho Sarvikas shared two pictures on Twitter, which shows the Nokia 8 receives an Android 8.0 OTA update, ready to download.

However, This Android 8 Oreo update for Nokia 8 is not the Stable version of Android 8, it's the Android 8 beta version for Nokia 8. This Android 8.0 Oreo beta upgrade package size for Nokia 8 is only 1299.7MB. Sarvikas said: "We are on it Nokia mobile. Android Oreo maturing nicely on Nokia8, will release when perfect. In any case, the smartphone is expected to get the Android 8.0 Oreo update by the end of this year. Nokia 8 has been spotted on Geekbench carrying Android 8.0 Oreo, which strongly indicates that the smartphone will soon receive the Android Oreo update. Till then, Nokia 8 users would have to do with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS, which the phone currently runs on. HMD has repeatedly confirmed that all produced by the HMD Nokia Android phone can be upgraded to Android 8.0.
