Xiaomi today officially announced its much-awaited custom user interface, called MIUI 9, at a media event in Beijing. At the event, Xiaomi revealed that MIUI 9 will support 55 languages, 142 countries. The New custom skin, MIUI 9 will support more than 35 Xiaomi smartphone, some of these Xiaomi smartphones are almost 4 years old now which will get brand new MIUI 9 update, to improve the overall performance of the phone.
Key new features added to MIUI 9 include:
Smart app launcher: Today Xiaomi introduce this new feature which depends upon the content on the screen. This feature will launch an app which would be valuable for the user.
Smart assistant: The new MIUI 9 comes with Xiaomi's own assistant like Google Assistant, Siri, etc. The new smart assistant will search from text to image according to user's command.
Image search: This is a brand new feature for the Xiaomi smartphone. The new Image Search feature helps a user to search any images by keywords of what is in the picture with the help of machine learning.
However, besides these three key features, Xiaomi's MIUI 9 brings some other features like Accelerated App Startup, Dynamic Resource Allocation, Universal Search, etc. Some features like split-screen mode, better App-prioritization and an enhanced user experience are also present in this new MIUI 9 which was introduced in the previous version of MIUI.
The user can download MIUI 9 China Developer ROM from 27 July 2017. Xiaomi also revealed the expected MIUI 9 Global Beta release date. The Global beta version ROM will be available from August 11, 2017, for Mi 6 and Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm / Redmi Note 4X. From late September 2017, MIUI 9 Global Beta will be available for all devices.
