The Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei wants to offer with its new high-end Phablet Huawei Mate 10 an alternative to the new iPhone. Chief of Huawei’s consumer division Richard Yu now made a series of promises in an interview, according to which the Huawei Mate 10 will compete with the iPhone 8.
As Yu told Bloomberg, The Huawei Mate 10 will be presented at about the same time as the upcoming generation of the Apple iPhone. So far, a launch of the new iPhones is expected shortly after the IFA, with the timing perhaps according with a recent event announced by Huawei for the 2nd September 2017 for the Consumer Electronics Fair in Berlin.
According to Yu, the Huawei Mate 10 is an "even more powerful product" offering a much longer battery life. In addition, Yu promised a "full-screen display," faster loading speed and better photography capabilities, as well as a "variety" of other features that could best compete with Apple.
Yu announcements now indicate that the manufacturer of the Huawei Mate 10 will probably follow the trend towards almost bezel-less displays, such as those used in the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, Note 8 or the LG G6 and V30.
