Nokia launch Nokia 3310 3G variant

The Finnish company HMD Global apparently wants to bring a slightly better version of the new version of the Nokia 3310 on the market. This is evident from documents from the US Communications Authority FCC, which recently tested a mobile phone with the model number HMD TA-1036. The new version of the Nokia 3310 was launched at the Mobile World Congress 2017 and stole the smartphone launches of the big manufacturers the show.

According to the FCC,'s OET Exhibits List, a 3G support is expressly mentioned, but LTE is missing. In addition, the GSM support limited to two frequency bands also indicates that this is not a smartphone. Though the list provides the measurements that indicate the TA-1036 is a Nokia 3310 3G, With dimensions of 116x51 mm, the dimensions exactly correspond to the Nokia 3310.

Because the network operators there have already begun to switch off their 2G networks, Provide the services via 3G and LTE network. Unlike the emerging markets, US customers can barely use a 2G phone like the Nokia 3310 in the normal version. With the introduction of a 3G version of the Nokia 3310 (2017), HMD Global would probably significantly increase its potential customers.
