After 3GPP Cellular Standards Group officially adopted 5G service, a Chinese smartphone manufacturing brand ZTE has reported, they will launch the world first Gigabit LTE supported smartphone.
The new 5G supported smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's most recent Snapdragon 835 processor. For gigabit class LTE speed, the processor included a consolidated X16 LTE modem. The X16 LTE modem gives up to 600Mbps download speed. though, the smartphone will support up to 1 gigabit per second download speed.
In an statement, the ZTE told, "The ZTE Gigabit phone will revolutionize connectivity with a new standard of download speeds, 1Gbps, bringing a qualitative leap to a new world of mobile experience by making 360-degree panoramic VR video, instant Cloud storage, entertainment upgrades and fast cache of ultra Hi-Fi music and movies possible".
The first gigabit LTE supported device were introduced in 2016 after Qualcomm joined with Netgear, Telstra, and Ericsson.
Though, the company did not announce any other data about the upcoming world first gigabit LTE 5G ready smartphone. The device will be uncovered at MWC 2017 held in next week. Alongside this smartphone, they will likewise report some more gadgets like an upgraded variant of 'Axon 7' and Blade series smartphone. So stay tuned with us for more info.
