Huawei is planning to introduce its new Mate series of great smartphones with the Mate 10 Lite at mid-October. Under the new Mate series, the Huawei Mate 10 Lite is to be launched at a quite reasonable price, with a total of four cameras and a display in 2: 1 format.
According to VentureBeat, the Huawei Mate 10 Lite, which bears the internal code name "Rhone", will probably only appear in Western countries under this name. In Huawei's home country of China, it probably reports as Huawei Maimang 6, so as part of the Maimang series.
The Mate 10 Lite powered by an eight-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor, called Kirin 659 and is basically a faster version of the Kirin 650. The chip reaches a maximum of 2.36 gigahertz and is combined with 4GB of RAM, while the internal flash memory is 64 GB.
Huawei Mate 10 Lite comes with a 5.9-inch full-HD 18:9 screen based on IPS with the resolution of 2160x1080 pixels. The edges are quite narrow, but Huawei does not want to round the corners of the screen. The screen is even higher than the panel in the normal Mate 10, which bears the codename "Alps" with the resolution of 1920x1080 pixels.
Huawei wants to market the Mate 10 Lite as its first smartphone with four cameras. On the back, a 16-megapixel main camera is installed, while on the front, its got a 13-megapixel sensor. Both cameras are supplemented by a simple 2-megapixel camera, which probably only serves to convert effects with the depth of field. With the front camera, the bokeh effect is provided by software, which works with two people in the picture.
As an operating system, Android Oreo runs in combination with Huawei's own EMUI version 5.1. The battery is fixed to a capacity of 3340mAh. The Huawei Mate 10 Lite will be priced quite favorably in the market. Supposedly the official price recommendation is €379 or $455 and available in blue, black, and gold color option as soon as it will launch, scheduled on 16 October.
