Facebook Groups will no longer be functional from September 1. Social networking giant, Facebook decided to shut down Groups app and will implement all the necessary functions inside the main Facebook app.
Currently, Facebook has more than 15 different apps like Facebook app(Main), Messenger, Facebook Lite, Facebook Group, Facebook Pages Manager, Facebook Add Manager and many others. But Facebook wants to increase the group’s activity in the main Facebook app.

The main Facebook app is already bloated enough with lots of stuff and marked as a battery consuming app. So by attaching the Groups app functionality in the Main Facebook app, Facebook might create a mess.
