You can also able to add emoji, caption, drawing in your photo. Though, the new status will perform only for 24 hours, after which it will stop automatically. Similar to your encrypted chat your status updates are also end-to-end encrypted with your friends and your contact list members.
After Facebook acquired WhatsApp some changes in the app is made by Facebook. It looks like the new feature is totally copied from Snapchat (Snapcat Stories). In terms of features, it is the status of the company, launching its eighth anniversary on February 24 around.
