We all use the world largest social network site Facebook for free. But we don't know, how & how much Facebook earn revenue. Today Facebook has announced their quarterly revenue result of 2016 (Ended on 31st December 2016).
According the revenue result, the total revenue for the last three months of 2016 is $8.81 Billion. Although the net income is $3.55 Billion only. Mobile advertising income is approximately 84% of advertising income for the last quarter of 2016, up from approximately 80% of advertising income in the last quarter of 2015.
Daily active users were 1.23 billion on average for December 2016, an increase of 18% year-over-year. Mobile Daily active users were 1.15 billion on average for December 2016, an increase of 23% year-over-year. Monthly active users were 1.86 billion as of December 31, 2016, an increase of 17% year-over-year. Mobile monthly active users were 1.74 billion as of December 31, 2016, an increase of 21% year-over-year. It has almost 1.9 billion people, More than 65 million small businesses use Facebook to connect with their customers.
The Facebook founder and CEO said “Our biggest focus continues to be putting video first across our family of apps. More than 150 million people now use Instagram Stories every day. We've launched our new camera in Messenger and have started rolling it out in Facebook as well.
